About Oakley's Cause

Oakley's Cause Incorporated is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising public awareness for animals with cerebellar hypoplasia. Our mission is to educate individuals so that animals with cerebellar hypoplasia and other neurological conditions are more likely to get adopted. We fundraise to help rescues and shelters that have cerebellar hypoplasia and other neurological animals in house. 

Oakley's Cause is not a rescue. We partner with Rescues and the public to advocate for animals with cerebellar hypoplasia and other neurological conditions, plus select joint conditions (ex: hip dysplasia). If it affects balance and gait or symptoms caused by the neurological condition itself, that's our lane. 

We can't take in, foster, or network placement for injuries, general illness, or neonatal kittens who still need mom. We do not have the resources to act as a general referral service for non-neurological cases.
